How many times a day do you hesitate to say something because you cannot come up with proper expressions in English? For me, it is too many to count. I was afraid to speak in English, so I tried to use easy words and expressions only. However, we all know that it will not help improve your command of English. That’s why I chose this course; I wanted to learn various expressions and how to use them in different situations. Actually, I’m still having a hard time yet I’m really enjoying IT-K class! I feel more comfortable using complex sentence structures and more sophisticated expres-sions. Translation and interpreting is changing one language into another language; I have to convey precise meaning and communicate as efficient as I can. It prompted me to find various ways to deliver the same meaning, and it broadened my vocabulary. All teachers help stu-dents find various expressions and teach useful expressions. We think English is very simple in terms of expressions compared to Korean, but it is our misconception. I’m sure you will be able to learn how colorful English expressions are through IT-K as I did. There is no doubt that ITK is challenging, and you may temporarily lose your confidence in English. However, I be-lieve it is just a process of improving your English and you will be able to speak English with fluency in the end.
